  5. From Caleb, Wow! Wishing I was there with you all right now. Seeing these pictures brings back all the great memories I've had in DR the last 6 trips! Definitely coming back next time around. Kayla- So glad you chose to come to DR the one time I didn't come along. Ha, miss you and hope God is stretching you and showing you new things everyday! Juj- Miss you a ton! God is gonna do incredible things in your life this trip. Tell me about it when you get back! James!!- Praying that God changes your life this trip! Always give 100% and keep asking God and others for ways to help. Don't worry about being too tired or in a bad mood, just put your trust in God and he'll give you energy and strength! Also praying that LeBron and Kyrie go off like they did last game.. It must suck not being able to watch. Love you dude! Dad- Love you and miss you a ton! You inspire me with your leadership and love for student missions! Praying that God will give you strength for this week! Also, Nekoda and Samson both miss you, but not as much as me of course. Finally, our exchange student friend couldn't make it today. But I'm sure he misses you all, and will most likely leave a message later in the week.

  6. Dear Team--- you rock! I can only imagine the way you are waking up each day exhausted and hot but ready to serve. I love that you are learning about the life of Jesus together this week. He served like no other, he gave until he could give no more and died. Hot, tired, sick, sad, or disappointed: he. just. kept. giving. Moved with compassion he carried the call of the Father to go to save a dying world. I know you are all doing the same. I am moved to tears as I write this. I pray the mandate to carry the cross of Christ will weigh heavy upon your heart and soul now and all your days. I pray for the Holy Spirit to anoint you to share the gospel with boldness. Ask and it shall be given to you, seek and you will find, knock and the door will be opened unto you. Mt. 7

To all my girls ~you make me so proud. Serve wholeheartedly, pray fervently, and listen to the Holy Spirit's voice. I love seeing your beautiful smiles and keep the braids and buns coming. (You look totally adorable.. but...shhh.... that's not the important stuff)

To my sweet husband~ So happy God picked you for me. (oops...here come the tears again) I love you so much. I miss you. PS-I sold Nekoda to a neighbor and got Emma a new bike with the money. She loves it, so... it was worth it.

Ok, also we're going to need a team picture. Like. Yesterday. So. Ok. Make that happen.
    Kisses to PE!
HUGS to all! (but fist bumps to the extra sweaty ones. I've got standards)

  10. Hey guys!
I'm so proud of all of you! You're giving your all for Jesus! It's hard not to when you really think about all he's given to you! Keep giving yourselves away! Keep loving! And keep your eyes on Him! Don't get distracted by the petty little things. That's exactly what the enemy wants. Instead, stay focused on your mission and get ready for God to show up in BIG ways!
He's a BIG God and promises to do exceedingly and abundantly more then you can ever hope for or imagine!!!

Pastor Bryan shared a devotion at our All Staff meeting yesterday that was so powerful. He talked about all that Paul endured so that people would come to know Jesus; the same Jesus that radically transformed his life. If you get a few minutes, read Acts 16 and be encouraged that no matter how hot you get or how tired you are, it's all worth it!!! Paul was beaten with rods, flogged and thrown into prison. He had every reason to complain. Every reason to shake his fist at God and ask, "Why me?" But instead, he chose to pray and sing praises to God and the Bible says that the other prisoners were listening. They took notice! Even the prison guard took notice and asked Paul how he and could be saved. His entire household decided to follow Jesus. People are taking notice of you as well. They're listening and they're watching you and how you interact with one another and how you selflessly serve. Remember...you may be the only Bible they ever read!

Keep giving yourselves away for the fame of Jesus!

We love you Shmuggs and we're so proud of you! ILY! GIG!!! - Mom

PS- thank you Eran, Jeanette aka Horsey!, Diamond, Mike and all the amazing leaders who made this trip possible! Thanks for believing that our kids aren't the future church, but they are the church and for giving them the opportunity to use the incredible gifts that God has given each one of them to change the world...one person at a time!!! Love you friends!

  11. WE are missing our Katie Bug!!! WE are so proud of what you are doing in Jesus name. We have no doubt you are loving and playing with the kiddos wholeheartedly. Enjoy every minute. Soak in every experience. Let it change your way of thinking and your way of life. Can not wait until you are home. Already looking forward to us all hanging out in your room listening to your stories about how God worked in and through you. Anticipating the laughter as you tell us all the funny things you observe little one. Take care of yourself. Drink lots and use that sunscreen. :) WE love you!!! Give Molly and Miss Jeanette a hug for me.

  12. Hey you 2--it is Neena here in Florida---you know who I am--but the others may not! You both are an inspiration to me and I am so happy you both are doing this trip together in the hopes that it will make enormous changes in your young lives, and the lives you have encountered. Olivia, this is not new to you, but with Spencer with you this time it warms my heart knowing that he is able to have this experience with you by his side to guide him. Our world is in such turmoil with all that has happened recently in Orlando and other places. I am so very proud of you both that you have chosen to dedicate this time in your lives for this trip to gain a positive link to those you encounter and interact with. I pray for your safety as well as your entire team--I only wish I had been fortunate enough to do something like this in my younger years. Spence--you have been heavily in my thoughts and I want you to know how proud of you I am that you are able to have this experience. I am supporting all of you and pray for your safety, endurance and positive accomplishments. Keep hydrated and sun protected--and at the end of this mission you will be rewarded with more than you could have imagined and a great finale at a fabulous time with a beach resort! Encouraging and positive thoughts to all of your team...The utmost positive thoughts from Florida!

  17. Ok, I'm not going to mention its rainy and cool here today. I would never do that.

This shout out goes to my sweet EMELY! I am so extremely proud of you for going on this trip. Love the way you pour heart and soul into everything you do! His light in you shines bright! You never cease to amaze me with the understanding you have into the scriptures and the way you care for people. Your friends and family are so proud of you! You are a blessing. I love the way you don't even realize the joy you bring to others just by being YOU!

John 1:5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.

    Lots of love- Mama Julie

  18. Hey DR team! Wow! I am just SO proud of you all and the work you're doing to further the Kingdom of God. It looks like you're really loving on everyone there and that's just what Jesus wants. I am praying that God strengthens you all even when you're feeling worn out and tired, but more importantly that He breaks through to you all in a way He hasn't before. Keep your hearts open and listen to Him. Obey His leading and walk the Spirit. When you feel like giving up, remember that you have been called there to push through and serve like Jesus did. Hold fast & take heart! You're all doing so great!

To my husband Michael, You have no idea how proud of you I am. I am so blessed to have a husband who seeks out opportunities to serve, even when it's not the most convenient. I am praying that God floods your soul with peace and comfort, and that any anxieties that creep up will be gone. I'm praying that you remain healthy and are able to get a decent amount of sleep! Thank you for constantly inspiring me. I miss you. I love you!!

  20. Hellooo Kay Ray and Team!
We have been thinking of you and praying for you! LOVE seeing the pictures
And smiles on your faces! You are doing what you’ve been called
To do…be the hands and feet of Jesus to the nations. Continue to
Be self-less, be stretched, to serve and get out of your comfort zone,
to do whatever it takes b/c it’s not about you. Because you said
“I will go” those precious children are hearing about Jesus.
You are doing kingdom work for Him. We are so very proud of you!
Stay hydrated and bug-sprayed! Love you (hugs)!!
