As you can see by all of the pictures that were blogged this morning, we painted a house today!
Josefina has 5 children...and before today, no stove. When we walked into the house, we were taken aback by the cinderblock walls and the barren room. Four tiny rooms and a bathroom is all this little family lives in. We quickly got to work, and in just a few hours, the gray block home was transformed into a green and peach beauty! And the entire community chipped in and helped get the job done.
Debbie said it was a "dream come true", not just for Josefina, but for Mitch & Debbie as well. To see the community come together and help a family out was really moving.
It was probably one of the most rewarding ministry experiences we've had so far. So thank you, for supporting us, because you helped make it a reality. To God be the glory!
