We're currently hanging out at the missions apartment gearing up for another round of children's ministry this afternoon and a church service tonight, where we'll be doing dramas and Cassie will be preaching.
This morning, we were at a church ministering to about 45 kids with a lesson about the Good Samaritan, our "Sin Chair" drama, a few worship songs, and a testimony from Ryan. Then, we got to hang out and minister through balloon animals, bubbles, and a snack! Our afternoon session should look similar.
It's a gorgeous day, we've got an awesome view from our kitchen window (see below), and yes, it's hot. But I think we've all just accepted the fact that we're gonna be good and sweaty this week. We're sweatin' for Jesus!
We've been loving reading all of your comments out loud at family time! Thanks for all of your encouragement and prayers!

Hi! How's it going? - Josh
You all look great...it is so neat to see God uses even the gift of making balloon animals! Hope all goes well with your afternoon ministry work and evening service. We're supposed to get real heat here tomorrow, so we'll be more mindful of your sweating ministry! Right now it is cloudy in the mid-seventies. Keep focused on the Lord and depend on him when the heat starts to get you grouchy. Love you all.
ReplyDeleteSteve & Josh, we are doing awesome! So glad to have the blog to hear how you're doing. Love you both, very much, and I'm so glad you both took this mission together!

Dear D.R. Team,
ReplyDeleteOur whole Crossroads Staff is praying for you! We know that you are killing those kids with your crazy antics & kindness. Not to mention, being Jesus with skin on, bringing "Disney-level" amounts of joy to every nino (neen-yo) you meet.:) We are prepping for VBS here, but you're ahead of us carrying it out over there?! I'm thrilled (and sweating) just thinking about it.
Our Virtue in Crossroads is timely for your team. Its TRUST- putting your CONFIDENCE in someone you can depend on. So on this trip- don't bust. Just Trust.
"Love the Lord your God with ALL your heart, with ALL your soul, and with ALL your mind. THIS is the first and greatest commandment."- Matthew 22:37-38
Love and high-5s to each of you,
